    Casa del Agua, holiday cottage

La Casa del Agua retains all its original charm but with its recent restoration is now a spacious and comfortable dwelling.
The house sleeps 6+ very comfortably with two double bedrooms on the ground floor and a further large double bedroom on the upper floor with a queen size double bed and a comfortable bed/sofa for children if required.  A child’s cot is also available on request.
You’ll find duvets on all the beds in winter and even in the summer we leave a light blanket just in case.  There is a set of towels for each guest.
The upper floor also has a large bathroom with walk-in shower/wet room.  There is a further bathroom on the ground floor with bath and shower.

Child friendlyWe have two young children and we’ve prepared the house with kids in mind.  You’ll find a high chair and children’s plates & cutlery etc, there is a stair safety gate and plug protectors in the house. We can provide a child’s cot and bed safety rail on request.
There is a child’s swing in the garden and is a safe place for them to play, with good visibility from the kitchen and patio.
The acequia (irrigation channel) that passes in front of the house is irresistible for kids.
At Easter and the summer months there are several families in the village, they’ll have plenty of children to play with and language differences are quickly overcome.

The large lounge has a wood burning stove which can be opened for a nice crackling fire in the evening - we do not charge extra for wood and we’ll leave you plenty for your stay. There is a library of guides, maps and books about the local flora and fauna.
The well equipped kitchen has everything you would expect - we’ll leave all the basics (cleaning materials, spices, sugar, flour, tea etc).

Great views from the kitchen and a large utility room (the old stable) leads to an outside patio with approximately half an acre of land leading on to woodland.
Depending on the time of year you are here, there are plums, grapes and pears all for the picking.
In the early evening or morning the patio at the rear of the house gives a great opportunity to spot deer, foxes, wild-boar and a large selection of bird life.
You'll find a high powered rechargeable torch in the kitchen, perfect for spotting the wildlife in the evenings.

Even at the height of summer, the evenings are cool and the thickness of the walls (80cm over 2.5 feet!) ensure a comfortable night's sleep. Heating throughout and a wood burner in the lounge guarantee a cosy stay even in the depth of winter.
You'll find a library of books and DVDs in the lounge, with maps of the area. There is also a comprehensive information pack, covering the area, local bikes, where to eat, shop, take a beer etc
